THANK YOU

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of the birthday wishes & gifts! My birthday was great! Scott took the day off and we went and saw UP!, went to my mom & dad's, hit up Chick-Fil-A for some fries, went shopping, went to Scott's parents & then went to P.F. Chang's for dinner with Mindy at like 7:30. After that, we went to Target and goofed around and then to Wal-Mart to help Mindy pick out a printer at like 10. It was a long, but fun day! Scott got me/us a new video camera. It's the Canon Vixia HG20. It's an HD video camera that also takes still pics. Hopefully soon he will be able to convert them so I can post a video. He also got me/Harley a travel system from Wal-Mart go HERE to see it. It was an awesome birthday! Thanks again!! (sorry no pics)
Thanks for taking the day off Scott!! You're the best!! I love you!

Raspberry Dessert

My mom makes this YUMMY raspberry dessert. Here is the gluten free version of it: Start with a package of MI-DEL Arrowroot animal cookies. Put all of the cookies into a food processor and mix until they are all crumbs.
In a 9x13 pan cover the bottom of the pan with a nice layer of crushed cookies. Set aside a little bit to put on top.

Next, get the raspberry sherbet, put it into a bowl and let it soften a bit.
After the sherbet has softened add a container of cool whip and mix.
Pour the sherbet & cool whip mix into the pan, over the layer of cookie crumbs. Put the rest of the crumbs on top. Put in freezer and let harden.

After a couple of hours, or whenever you want...ENJOY!
My mom uses Mother's Macaroons cookies...which are NOT gluten free

Mother's Day & May birthdays

Scott was very sweet & got me a card & some mini yellow roses (which he planted in the backyard yesterday)
May dinner at my parents house was on Mother's day. So, we celebrated Mother's Day, Mindy's b-day, Lindsay's b-day & my b-day. Gran also came over :) We had dinner made by Mike & Mindy (mostly Mindy) YUMMY bbq beef (sandwiches for those who eat that kind of thing), watermelon, corn, sunflower seed salad, bush's baked beans and I don't remember what else.
For dessert we had pie. YUMMY pudding pie. It had chocolate & vanilla pudding and cool whip on top. My WONDERFUL mother was the one who made the pies. She made my GLUTEN FREE pie crust with some animal cookies I bought. It was DELISH!

Riley being an airplane...she was keeping the same face the whole time

P.S.-we missed you Amy & Jill + families

Happy 21st Birthday Mindy!!

HARLEY

Mike & Mindy came over yesterday and hung out. We had chicken tacos, played on the computer (since Mindy has no interent), took some pics and Mindy did the letters for HARLEY's room. Scott & I painted the edges and she did the rest. She did such a great job! :) THANKS MINDY!!! (It will hang above her crib. In the white stripe)

Some baby stuff...

So, Tucker (the little boy I work with) has a P.T. at school. She gave me TONS and TONS of clothes. This is just a few of them. Also, my sis-in-law gave me some too! Thanks ladies!

Aren't these shoes SO cute!?

Our bassinet (from my grandma)...and some clothes we got.
The brown polka dot set of onsies we actually bought the day we found out we were pregnant. :) (we bought boy ones too, and gave them to a friend who's having a boy) The pink & green dresses to the right are from Scott's mom. So cute!

THE ROOM...IS DONE

So... our idea was to turn this room

and use this idea (i did it on photoshop)...

and it turned out like this....
go HERE to see the step by step process and the finished product

All I have to say is THANK YOU SCOTT! He did a FANTASTIC job. I did NOTHING.
He finished it SO fast!
*He stayed up till midnight on Monday night taping then painting the green.
*Thursday night he taped & painted the gray
*Saturday he taped & painted the black
*he used caulking to seal the lines so they didn't bleed (thanks Amy for that tip)
LOVE YOU SCOTT! You're awesome!

(when we put her name and other accessories up I will post more pics)

Gluten Free "Better Than 'Anything' Cake"

1 gluten free chocolate cake mix (I used Pamela's this time)
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 container of caramel sauce (you don't have to use the whole thing, I didn't)
cool whip
1 heath candy bar

Bake cake according to directions. After it cools poke several holes in it. Pour the can of s&c milk over it, spread and make sure it gets into all of the holes. Next, pour the caramel over and do the same thing (spread & make sure it gets in all holes.) After that spread cool whip over the top & crush heath bar on top. Refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
I like to add more cool whip to my piece when I cut it :)

Scott's Birthday Festivities

Well, Scott's birthday celebrations actually started on Easter. We go to my parents house for Sunday dinner once a month. So, April birthdays were celebrated on Easter. Scott & Mike each got to blow out a candle.

Next, we went to Scott's parents on the 23rd to celebrate Scott & his older sister Beth's birthday. There was cake, ice cream and lots of toys & fun. His whole family was there except is bro in Boston. (missed you Kyle) It was lots of fun.

THEN, Tuesday the 28th we had a late Dr.'s appt so we hit up Red Robin before going to the appt.

FINALLY, Scott opened his presents on the morning of his birthday the 29th. He got a couple shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, some candy & a new DTVPAL DVR. (we are going to get rid of our Dish Network that we pay $30 or $40 a month and just use the new DVR. We'll only get regulary channels...so that will be something to get used to) Scott got home from work around 5:30 and I had dinner made...sweet & sour chicken. Then, around 7 Dan, Kirstie & Easton came over for some cake & ice cream. (Scott didn't know they were coming over OR that I had a cake for him) I got him a carrot cake because that's his fav. I also made a "Better than 'anything' cake" so that I could have some cake too. I put candles in the carrot cake then came to find out that we have NO lighter OR matches! So, they just ate the cake :) Hope you had a great birthday!
