Dutch Oven Pizza

Sunday night Scott & I went to Mike & Mindy's house for dutch oven pizza. I had never done it before, and the only time I've made a homemade pizza crust was like 2 1/2 years ago (and it wasn't that good). So, we went to Sprout's on Saturday and got a gluten free pizza crust mix. (I don't remember the brand of crust) So, they cooked mine first (to avoid contaminating my pizza). On my pizza I had: cheese & on half of it, pineapple. It was actually pretty good!!!! It was really crispy & I would definitely do it again. :) It sounds really good right now.... Here are some pics of everyone's pizza & their toppings. (they're a little blurry because I used my phone)

Traci's Pizza
Cheese & Pineapple

Mike's Pizza
MEATLOVERS: sausage, steak, pepperoni and I don't know if there was anything else.

Mindy's Pizza

Layer one finished

Scott's Pizza
Finished product, I believe the layers were something like this:
sauce, cheese, completely covered layer of pepperoni, cheese, pepperoni & some sausage.

It was a TON of fun! Thanks M&M!!
(Now pizza sounds SOOOO good!)

Ultrasound-17 weeks 6 days

When we got our ultrasound to find out what we were having, we had to bring a VHS. WHAT? What year is this? Lame! So, we did. While playing it, Scott video taped it with our new HD video camera. Scott finally got it to upload to YouTube yesterday (it took FOREVER). So, here ya go. (lovely commentary by me...haha)

Cinnamon Chex

I was able to find a GLUTEN FREE box of Cinnamon Chex at Albertson's yesterday. I opened them this morning and I smelled them first...and ooooh they smelled SO good. My favorite cereal used to be Cinnamon Toast Crunch and it reminded me of that. So, I had a bowl of it with my vanilla Almond Milk. And it was...DELICIOUS!
I think THIS might be my FAVORITE now. :)

Betty Crocker- Mix #2

GLUTEN FREE
Chocolate Chip Cookies

(not my pic)

These cookies were a success! They were pretty delicious!! Betty Crocker is 2 for 2. Next up will be either yellow or devil's food cake mix. I found the devils food at Albertson's. My sister in law told me that the gluten free mixes were on sale at Albertson's 3 for $9. So, I went and got 6 more mixes. :) It says 3/$10 on the shelf but when you check out it takes another dollar off. Sale ends Tuesday I believe. They are originally $4.50...so, good deal! :)

28 weeks

I had my 28 week appointment on Tuesday. I was a little bit nervous to have to do the glucose test. I had heard the drink was nasty from some & others said it wasn't too bad. I've seen people down them so fast when I'm sitting in the waiting room. Usually when I've seen people drink it it's an orange drink. When I went in, it was red...fruit punch. I smelled it first & it didn't smell too bad...then I took a little taste & it was GOOD! So, I drank it pretty fast. I thought it was pretty delicious. I then had my appointment (Everything still looks great) and after my appointment I got my blood drawn. Then, a few minutes later I got my RhoGAM shot in the booty and we headed home.

Betty Crocker GLUTEN FREE brownies

(Not my picture)

So, I went to Fry's yesterday because I heard Betty Crocker's Gluten Free mixes were out. Sure enough 3 of the 4 mixes were right there on the aisle with all the other cake mixes. There was brownie mix, chocolate chip cookie mix & yellow cake mix. The devil's food wasn't there. So, last night I decided to make the brownies and let me tell you....they were DELICIOUS!!! My brother-in-law, Dan, said they tasted like regular brownies, whether or not he was lying I don't know. It's been a long time since I had a regular brownie, but these were SO good & I highly recommend them! Next up...chocolate chip cookies I think :)

My new favorites...

More and more people & manufactures are aware of Celiac Disease and the gluten-free diet that goes along with it. I am SO excited that General Mills has made 6 of their cereals gluten free.

Rice Chex was the first to go gluten free

Then Corn Chex
And my new FAVORITE cereal...HONEY NUT CHEX
The other 3 are: Chocolate Chex, Strawberry Chex & Cinnamon Chex. I haven't found them at the stores I go to. The only one I'd probably try is Cinnamon. MAYBE chocolate but probably not strawberry. I love making things with Chex cereal as well. Rice Chex treats (like Rice Krispie treats) Muddy Buddies (puppy chow), Chex Mix (I just use rice & corn chex, peanuts & cashews and gluten free pretzels), and a new one I love is called Golden Graham Treat (but I substitute the Golden Grahams for Honey Nut Chex). Go to Chex.com to see more about their Gluten Free cereals and recipes.

ALSO, I can't wait for Betty Crocker's GLUTEN FREE brownie mix, cookie mix, and cake mixes to come out any time!!!

Belly Update

27 weeks down...13 weeks to go!
(this was taken at 6 a.m. before we left for work...I was a bit tired)
Everything is going pretty good. I'm feeling her move like crazy and Scott's felt her now too! :) I like to just sit and look at my stomach when she's moving around. It's crazy to see my belly move. I love it! I am now going to the doctor every 2 weeks. I went a week and a half ago and I go next Wednesday. I get to do the glucose test...yipee! At my 26 week appointment everything was great. Heartbeat sounded great, my blood pressure was good, pee was good :), weight gain was pretty close to where it should be and I was measuring at 25 weeks.
