Our 4th Anniversary Getaway

Our anniversary was Thursday the 6th. I gave Scott a couple t-shirts. One said "Best Freakin Dad Ever" and the other one said "My Daughter Thinks I'm Cool" He gave me a blog book from my first year of blogging. I love it!! I had attempted it at one point & gave up because on Multiply it sucks! THANKS BABE!! That night we went to Red Robin around 8 for dinner. We ordered some fries out first, as always, and they came & smelled like onion & had some onion straws or whatever in it, which meant I couldn't eat them! (At Red Robin they say they fry french fries in a separate fryer) So, Scott asked to talk to the manager and the manager apologized and said that they do fry the fries in a separate fryer. So, he went and "made them himself" and came back & said that our meal was on him. So, free dinner...that's always a plus! (I ordered a root beer float later...haha!)

Scott took Friday off so we could go have one last weekend just the 2 of us. He got us a 2 night stay at Scottsdale Resort & Conference center. Friday morning we went over to the hospital to see our new niece Annie, then we went to Gecko with Scott's dad, then we headed to Scottsdale. After we checked in we hung out for a little bit, then headed down to Last Chance & some other stores. We went to Old Navy & we got some comfy shorts for $10. For dinner we ran to Albertsons and got a rotisserie chicken, some chips, grapes, avocados (for Scott) and some juice. We headed back to the hotel & ate dinner. We went for a swim in the pool around 9 and then ordered room service. I wanted a root beer freeze (blended float) so I got a vanilla shake & root beer and Scott got a chocolate shake.

Saturday morning we slept in until like 9! Then just hung out at the hotel for a bit. I had grapes, a granola bar & juice for breakfast and Scott had juice & avocados. We then headed north a little bit to go to Nordstrom Rack (got me some new New Balances), then we went to Carter's (spent too much) and then we ate at Picazzo's! It was SO good! We had garlic cheese bread first, Scott had a salad, then we had 1/2 cheese, 1/2 ham & pineapple pizza and finally we had a brownie & ice cream. It was SOOOO good!! The brownie was nice and warm too....I want one right now lol. After lunch we went back to the hotel to hang out for a little bit and so I could put my swollen feet up. Maybe an hour later we headed downtown to Scottsdale Fashion Square. We walked around the ENTIRE mall! We rested A LOT, especially since my feet were killing me! Scott bought me a necklace from Tiffany's and I love it!! After a long day at the mall, we headed back to the hotel. Scott ordered Pei Wei & went and picked it up and we ate it at the hotel. After dinner we went swimming for a little bit then went to bed.

Sunday morning we slept in again, checked out and headed down to McCormick Railroad park to look around. After that we went to have some brunch at Denny's. I've been wanting to check out the Scottsdale Center for the Arts where the "LOVE" statue thing is, so we went there and then headed home. On our way home we stopped at the Bass Pro Shop to check it out.

It was a fun weekend that we got to just hang out with each other and chill. I love you Scott and am so thankful for all you do for me!!
