Amy & Tim flew in the night of the 22nd. I went and hung out with them all day the 23rd. We made some Christmas decorations & went shopping. We went to Gecko, then they came out to our house and hung out for a little bit. We hung out some more the morning of the 24th.

Christmas Eve was at my Uncle Monty & Aunt Jacque's house. We ate Mexican food, and played the white elephant (except w/good gifts). It was lots of fun. We ended up with a jar of candy & Christmas kitchen towels and a couple games.

Christmas day: We woke up around 6/6:30 and opened presents here. Scott spoiled me(as always). He got me some jewlery, clothes, & a laptop. (which I've been using since black friday). Harley got some clothes & toys. She was fun- trying to eat everything. Around 9:30 we headed to Scott's parents. Had breakfast burritos & did the white elephant game there as well. We got a suns beanie and games. We missed you Sean & fam! Around 2:30 we headed to my parents. We had some appetizers, opened presents & had a delicious dinner. After dinner we played some games. It was lots of fun! We missed you Scripps family!!!!

4 months...

Harley is 4 months old
She weighed: 13lbs 12oz (54%)
Her height: 24 3/4in (69%)

She got her shots yesterday :( I cried this time. I didn't cry the other times I've seen her get poked/shots. I've been kind of emotional lately, so I guess it's no surprise

I had toe surgery on the 15th. It's the same toe that I had done a year and a half ago. (left foot, 2nd toe). It has still been bothering me. So, this time the doctor went in & put a titanium implant (my joint was dead) and also a pin. He removed the pin last week in the office. (it just stuck out the end). I went back yesterday and it looked awful. Like a big blister. It was/is as big as my big toe. I have a picture, but I figured I wouldn't share it unless you want to see it. I was on crutches for 2 weeks. Long enough! I definitely hate them. So, we'll see how long I am in the boot for. I may not be able to go back to work next week, we shall see. The hardest part about it all is not being able to get up and carry Harley. We have been hanging out in the bedroom for the past couple days. Mindy & also my mom have been helping me out alot & I appreciate it so much!!

On Saturday we went to Washburns and Grandpa put on his santa suit and we took some pictures. Grandma Washburn bought this CUTE dress for her. Mindy made the flower. :)

14 & 15 weeks and more...

The past week+ have been pretty hard/crazy... Scott was put to part time. We updated his resume, got some applications filled out. He had an interview. Didn't get the job. Got called by his boss & was told they want him back part time. That all happened w/in one week. (his FIRST day off, 1/2 way through the day they called him & said they wanted him back) SERIOUSLY! Someone needs to think before they act. I am VERY grateful he has a job, but not so grateful for the stress they put him/us under for that week.
With me going back to work, him being put part time & holidays. oh what fun...

I am having surgery on Tuesday. I had 2 surgery's about a year and a half ago on my left foot, second toe. It has been bothering me a lot. The doctor is going to put a titanium implant in place of my joint (it has gotten very bad) and also a pin in it to lengthen it. Hopefully this will make a huge difference.

Harley giggled for the first time. (she has before in her sleep...) SO cute. She has been sucking on her hand like crazy. She is grabbing things and putting them in her mouth.
She's getting so big so fast! She's so fun & we love her SO much!

I love my lil family! The past couple weeks have been hard. Really hard.
But I am so grateful for everything I have.
I just have to keep reminding myself of all the great things in my life.

12 weeks

The past couple weeks have been rough, just thinking about this week. The past few days have been really hard on me... I'm SO grateful for a job that I get holidays & summers off though!

Harley stayed at Tucker's house yesterday. She took her on a walk, to take Sydney (Tucker's lil sister) to the bust stop. She put Sydney's hat on her & this quilt. :) I just LOVE this pic.

We went shopping and got a few 'warmer' clothes & a little jacket.

Harley's Blessing

Scott blessed Harley on Sunday. It was beautiful!! He did a great job! Thank you to all who were able to come! I know it was quite a drive for most of you!! We appreciate it!! Mindy was SO sweet & came & helped us in the morning. She helped bake & make little signs so everyone would know what the food was. :) We had: GF muddy buddies, GF white chocolate muddy buddies, GF chocolate chip cookies, GF sugar cookies, GF pumpkin bars (thanks mom), sugar cookies & brownie bites. Pink lemonade & water.

10 weeks!

Scott blessed Harley yesterday, I will post about that later, maybe tomorrow.
But, here's a pic for now. :)

My new favorite candies...

I was in the store a couple weeks ago & I found PLAIN Hershey's white chocolate BLISS...Let me tell you...I have been waiting for a plain white chocolate to come out. All the candy bars that have white chocolate I can't have because of wheat. SO, when I saw these I was SO excited. I was on the phone with my mom when I saw them and I was like "OH MY GOSH!!" and she thought something was wrong with me. haha. nope, just SUPER excited. So, if anyone ever feels the need to get me anything, I'll gladly take some Hershey's white chocolate Bliss.


This one has been a favorite for a while. Caramel Macadamia Clusters. While I was at my grandma's house, towards the end of my pregnancy, I saw these in her cupboard, so I tried it. I told her how delicious they were & she said I could take the whole container :) Well, as Dan & Kirstie can tell you, I LOVE them. So, whenever they go to Costco I ask them to get me some. And they are nice enough to pick some up.

As many of you know, YES, I am NOT supposed to have dairy. WELL, I do cheat, too often. I just take some lactaid so that my stomach won't go crazy.

9 weeks

Harley is 9 weeks!! WOWZERS! I have to go back to work in 3 weeks! :( I am VERY sad about that! I go back on the 23rd of November. I'll be at work for 3 days, then have 2 days off (Thanksgiving), then I will have 3 weeks of work, then 2 weeks off. SO, hopefully it will be a transition I can handle.

Halloween

Washburn Family 2009

Harley had lots of Halloween outfits....5 to be exact. I had the mummy shirt from last year & Scott had his skeleton shirt from last year. Of course, Harley had to be a giraffe :) since my favorite animal IS a giraffe.

The night before Halloween we had a little get together with some friends. We had pizza & just hung out. It was crazy with all the kiddo's, but it was TONS of fun!!

On Halloween we went & showed off our little giraffe. We went to my parents, Mindy's, Gran's & Scott's parents. Then, we went home to pass out candy. Scott set up his projector. It was projected onto the window. The window had white garbage bags on it so it would be on the window. He had some spooky Halloween video/animation things. Lots of people stopped and watched it for a bit. Everyone loved it. He also put the speakers outside so you could hear the scary music.
Every year Scott's work does a pumpkin carving contest. This year Scott did RIP w/a green light & dry ice. I thought it was pretty awesome. Well, the customers vote & he didn't win. :( His brother Dan won first place! (which is $50) I thought it was a super cute pumpkin BUT, it wasn't carved!!
